About Us

Following the 2017 reform and change of government rule in Ethiopia, citizens in the country faced an unusual amount of violence due to tension between people of different ethnicities and religion. A great number of churches and their relics were burned to the ground. Christians were being persecuted, killed, and displaced with nowhere to retreat to. As a result of these attacks on our people, on November 19, 2019, Mahbere Redeat was established by eleven individuals who stepped forward to attempt to bring hope to those who are being or have been affected by these senseless acts of violence, as well as to those who are economically deprived.
